Posting On Behalf of Aidan Vitti, Producer/Art Director:

Hello!

I was recommended toward your site this morning by a blacksmith named Jakob, who I was speaking with about a Vikings film I'm working on! He had a time conflict pop up and recommended I contact you to see if there's another blacksmith who might be interested in assisting us.

My name is Aidan Vitti and I'm the producer/costume designer. We're filming a film about Vikings the first weekend of May near St Helens WA and I've been tasked with finding a blacksmith that wouldn't mind us filming a few shots of his hands hitting metal on an anvil, or something similar to that. We're located in Seattle and will be driving down on the 1st of May, so anywhere between those vicinities would be ideal.

Our lead actor forges a simple weapon from a simple farming scythe, so we'd love to get a shot that shows this a little. It would be a quick scene with a blacksmith's hands being the primary focus. We can't really offer financial compensation, but we can provide a copy of the film, credit (IMDB) and if there's any Vikings-era items they have in their shop, we can feature them in the production as well for a Prop credit too.

I'd love to speak with you further about this shot!

Thank you so much,

Best, Aidan Vitti

Vernonia isn't too awful far from St.Helens's. You might try contacting Wolfgang Rotbart. I don't know if he would take interest or what his schedule is, but he's got very authentic Nordic blacksmith's hands!!

http://www.wolfgangforge.com/C.....Forge.html contains his contact information.

No matter where you go... there you are.
