I got this anvil at a reasonably fair price. Well, needless to say that it's the most I've ever paid for an anvil @ a little over $3/pound...
When I got it home and started cleaning it up I discovered some pretty interesting details.
It was most likely made on a friday, by a pissed off or piss-drunk employee...
check out the markings, can you spot the errors????
*** Not only is the weight a double stamped correction, but the "N" at the end of Paragon is assbackwards...???
There are also a lot of interesting identifying marks on this anvil like those found on; the front feet- marked with an (A)- Cross- and a backwards (K); the heel- marked with an upside-down (C)... I assume that those are within the realm of normal, they're just more visible because of it's minty nature...

Other than that, it's purdy and was never touched by a hammer.
I have no idea. Anyone else have any input???

I'd say even at 3$/lb that looks like a fine tool. The Swedes have excellent anvils, all cast that I know of but as good as if not better than some forged anvils. I'd wager some of the stamps were maker's marks. The Crown logo is common on lots of Swedish stuff
They only remember you when you SCREW UP~!!!
