I would really like to support these guys since it is literally my back yard and a worthwhile cause, however the timing couldn't be much worse. There event is the Saturday of Western States. I don't suppose there is someone willing to demo for the day who isn't going? My understanding is you can sell your products and you keep all the proceeds

If anyone can and will let me know and contact Rachel directly to make arrangements.

Below is the email I received in its entirety

Hi Larry,

Janet at the museum’s front desk passed on your card to me and boy, was I happy to receive it. This summer I tried feverishly to find a blacksmith to volunteer time demonstrating at our Living History Day at the Mary Olson Farm, but all of my leads turned up nothing. I am so happy to find out about a blacksmith right in our own back yard!

I would love to see a blacksmith demonstrating out at our farm for Living History Day, which is free family event in which demonstrators of historic crafts and trade show their skills and interact with guests. We already have a number of fabric and fiber artists and I would love to see representation from a more masculine trade. Would you be interested in working with us on next year’s event? The date is set for August 24th and the event runs from 1 – 4pm. I realize it may be early to make those kind of commitments, but if you are at all interested let me know and I will keep you in the loop as we get closer to the event date.

Thank you for your consideration-
