Bruce Macmillan inspired me with his bulldoze bender. I decided to take apart my press which consisted of a 30 ton enerpac cylinder and pump. I have maybe $400 in this setup, the pump i got for $75 at a swap meet, and the cylinder i got from Larry for a few hundred, i purchased new hoses (10,000 psi, 20,000 psi breaking pressure). The first press was built for forging but it is too slow so i decided to convert one of my welding tables into a "hidden" bender. I wanted to still have use of the table top for fabricating, so i decided to put the cylinder underneath with a track for a pin block that will ride in a slot in the table, and a slot underneath. I used a chunk of tank armor for the block, it measured 8"x4"x3", and i slotted the ends on my vertical bandsaw to make keys for the slots. I had the block milled for a 1 1/2" pin hole. I have 1 1/2" 4140 pins that i wanted to use, so i borrowed a mag drill with an annular cutter and drilled a bunch of pin holes. I think this tool will be very handy, i can bend circles, and i have full use of my table, i just take out the pins! Thanks Bruce!

Sorry Brian. I confused you with someone else who has a similar pseudonym. This is why the Registration Instructions instruct you to "Please enter your REAL name so that we can get to know each other" Some may not agree, but it is useful when you consider there are folks registered here from all over the world. It's also very handy for members to indicate in their profile where they live, at least the state.

Word-
Grant personally asked me to do the same. I'd been using a pseudonym forever.
