Dear Grant,
I am writting this to get advice/assistance from you, as you are aware I'm comming to the Fall conference and I'm remaining for 2 weeks thereafter(till begining Sept). I would like to visit some shops(comercial not hobby) in the area to hopefully learn from new and shared experience and to get inspired by you?. Of the N.W.B.A. guys I would very much like to see your set-up,Larry L and Reis's place-if possible and you guys are amenable to it. I'm not quite sure how to go about it and I'm not on the scrounge as it were neither am I looking to camp/pitch a tent in someone's backyard. I would be happy in inexpensive hotels, B&B's etc. but the offer of a bed for the night would obviously not be declined.

On our side we currently have virtually no work but I'm far from "on the bones of my arse" so to speak so During the time that I'm there I would need a car and instead of getting one from Hertz etc. maybe you know of some smith thats not doing so well or some youngster(someone's son?) that needs the money whom I could rent from and that way I would feel I helped some one and it need cost me no more than a commercial rental of say $40/day(and long trip I could still hire a "reliable" from Hertz etc.)

I intend to travel light to give me oportunity to take goods/books home so I could even consider a bike for long trips?

Any thoughts?
