Somewhere out there in Internet Land I found a REALLY nice instructional video of Frank demonstrating making a hinge. Can't find it again. Anybody here know where it was/is??

Well then: If not the Turley video-Does anybody know of ANY sites that show some step by step hinges?? Steve from Incandescent Iron Works was kind enough to send me a picture of his hinges. Trying to find different styles and methods... Just going through my usual terror of doing something new. Maybe I'll outgrow it when I turn 66..............

I think there was a step by step on the anvil magazine web site. I made some hinges using those step by steps about 10 years ago. A friend of mine who is very experienced smith who does mostly historical work suggested I would have been better to weld on the back of the hinges rather than the front. It means if you don't blend the weld perfectly it is still out of sight.

Thanks: I found the Turley instructional on Anvil Magazine site.I'll be glad to send it to you if you've lost track of it. Actually-he does weld on the backside of the hinge. Took some studying of the pictures, but that is what he's doing!! Thanks so much. Eric S.
