Yeah, musta been winter, had my back to the gas forge and stood too close or too long! Probably wouldn't have gotten burned except I was trying to unbutton the dang thing! Like I was, what, gonna save the shirt? Remember to rip that sucker off like Superman!:banghead:

Your first reaction often has a lot to do with the outcome, somethings you can train your mind for. Sometimes just hearing about an experience like this is enough. Machinists get in the habit of sticking their foot out to catch something they drop, often a precision tool. Bites them in the ass sometimes. Not unusual for a machinist to stick his foot in the way if something heavy is falling, like a lathe chuck, just habit.

That's the only time I can remember, 'course that was a memorable one!
