In another post, testing a new burner was mentioned. The test was done today and as it should, produced results. When lit the orange part of the flame went about 16" at a whisper. Only being my 2nd burner, I wasn't catching on quickly that neither tip or choke adjustments seemed change anything much. Going over the cataloged areas of my mind, it came to me. It's the "jet" borrowed from the old rosebud guesstimated at just over .040. Thought that could be a problem. Kevin

Hope you got a chuckle out of that. Would like to have seen the look on my face when that flame came out almost 1/2 yard. Due to the construction of the burner it might be just as well to drill the old and tap it for a mig replacement. Who knows what type of thread I'll be looking for? ie Is it pipe or something different than NC/NF? Kevin

The Tweco T-14 tip is a 1/4-28NF machine thread. The tips are available in a range of opening sizes which makes tuning easy. For tip mounting use 1/8 in. Schedule 80 (not sched 40) pipe or an 1/8 NPT to 1/4-28 NF electric lamp adapter fitting.

Good luck,
Jeff
