Heres some S.T.O.C.K. I got from Grant over at IfettleIron. I guess it's worth repeat here for those who haven't come across it before. Basically it's big counterweight for a flypress that means the ram stays where it is when you let go of the handle.

I'm a BIG fan of flypresses but the one drawback is that the ram drops down when you let go of the handle. You can actually get smacked in the head by your balls. This stops that malarky. Since fypresses rely on the inertia of the flyballs rather than gravity, you don't really loose any effectiveness.

I love it so much I've also done it to my other flypress (in background)

I used one pulley directly over the press and then ran over to another pulley near the wall, so the counterweight is on the wall.

transform a yellow spot into the sun.” ~ Pablo Picasso ~

I did Grant's flypress mod with 2 pulleys also, It really makes a difference having that load off the screw. From the pictures I've seen of David's tight shop, it appears there is no wall space to run a weight up and down. And like he said, nobody wants to "get smacked in the head by your balls". It's just too painfull.
