Preferably one located in the Pacific Northwest. ( Not so much for the rust but rather the proximity. I live in Victoria.) I could pick it up at the fall NWBA meeting 2010.

That looks like a real buy, I've watched Jeff holtby's in action, this seems smaller.

Motor HP, single or three phase, HP, voltage, 50 or 60 cycle??

This one is a twin to Terry Carson's, I think it might be a bit smaller than Jeff's It is currently set up with a 5 hp motor with a on board static phase converter so it can be run 230V single phase 60 cycle.. The plan is to loan the converter to Paul so he can run the 100lb little giant but if it needed to stay on the machine Id figure out a way to get him going so it could.....

this is considered a 30 ton machine.. I think Grant said this is the smallest of the friction screw presses..

Its about 4000 lbs would be my guess....

Larry I'd like to give you $2650, just don't want to give a lot more to a shipping company 🙂

Just out of curiousity, have you any stab in the dark at what shipping would be?

That's a fly press! But a little big for my small shop.

Anyone else out there with a smaller one?

Arent you tripping over machines like this on the other side of the pond? I figured you had a stack of these out back you used for iron bits...

I have no idea what shipping would cost but think you would be real lucky to get it done for half the cost of the machine.. $1200-$1500?

We've got manual flypresses by the shed load Larry but I've yet to see a powered one ...... there again I've only been looking on ebay!!!!!!! I've not a drop of space at the moment but am looking for somewhere bigger. If it's still around then ... who knows?I've gotta say it seems seriously well priced, then again I've absolutely no idea what the "going rate" is.

I really dont have any idea what the "going rate" is either... The only other ones I have seen sell where on the east coast... I think Danger Dillon bought one of those.... They where priced about a third more but double the tonnage... I kind of figured pricing was a bit like a little Giant though.... If you watch the LG prices you'll see its about condition more than size... A real nice 50lb hammer can easily sell for more than a rough 250lb'er
Regardless I just need to cash it out and pay up my rent....Its priced based on what I have in it...I took it in part trade for some work on a hammer, If I was fat with cash id park it in the stable and put her to work...

Id like to keep it and play with it a bit but I think to have a permanent home in my shop it would have to be twice or three times the size.....

now If I hadn't seen Grants 100 ton machine......

On a side note I am still trying to get my head around how you build all that grand stuff in a 400 sq foot hole.... Ive got around 15 times the space, and a big outside yard and feel cramped... Next time I want to complain I'll shut my mouth and think of you...

Whatever you are, be a good one.
