Maybe mount some guide rails on the tower and set up a drop hammer? Having it zoom through the apt would be kinda novel, as long as you don't have a wife..............

Been busy with hanging concrete board etc for the forge area.

Good to hear, I am not sure burning down the firehall is the sort of publicity you would want.

Well guys as promised more reno pics.
Starting from scratch putting up fireproof concrete board to new 200 Amp panel.
More to come if you would all like..oh today was blessed with my layout/welding tables and $3000 worth of steel landing a week early...

Great job with the pics. Knifemaking and blacksmithing mean a lot to time in the shop alone. I enjoy seeing what other folks are doing in their environments.
You have a wonderful opportunity to set it up just the way YOU want it, not the last guy or the next guy.

Some more pics of the progress..

Concrete board almost done
Exhaust system almost done..waiting for parts
Tables moved in today with the help of the little CAT in the pics...lol
Welders, Compressor and Oxy/Accet in today
Hopefully start building forges tomorrow.

Sorry for the delay in the reply...just really busy.
Fire Pots are Centaur Forge heavy duty coke pots in three and a regular in one.
