Well I made the plunge from using a friends shop to this.
It was a retired fire hall, vacant about a month but will serve me well.
It needs a little TLC but don't we all.
Cheers

No I think it's fantastic, it's a great looking building with character and I am envious. There is nothing I would like more than my own building

Thanks man, I appreciate it.
One of the cool things is the old school rough cut lumber in the floor joists etc.
The second floor is held up by 4X12's 20' feet long. It was definitely built to last.
Plus the tower is still on the roof with the alarm...I wonder how long it will be before all the bikes are out front and 1 Adam 12 is at the door.

Larry, You are right. Own shop is a dream of a real man. And if she still brings money ..... it's good business.
ArtWerkz, good luck to you.

Wow, nice shop there Grant. I would love to see the pics of the inside as you get it all set up.
I really like the way you used the firemans badge as part of your logo. I have nothing but the greatest respect for the men who wear it. A fitting tribute to them all.

Thanks guys, I am real happy with the purchase.
The plan is to set up the main forge area in the 2 bay section along with my MIG & TiG gear. I just scored two layout/work tables from the scrapyard. 4' x 8' x 1" plate with legs and wheels. $400 each. It pays to have good friends.
The other area with the overhead door will turn into sort of a store front with additional work area/mechanical room ( air comp, furnace, hot water heater etc ) behind that.
Upstairs will be the man cave..makes for a sweet commute to work.
I will post more pics next week.
Cheers
Grant
Oh I forgot.. no brass pole but strongly thinking of installing one and the oatmeal stout fridge is going in very soon and another buddy has donated a commercial restaurant exhaust hood from a deep fryer that will be positioned over my Weber Platinum grill..Indoor grillin..oh baby.
If any of you guys ever make it up this way..the door will be open and beer in the fridge. More than welcome.:)
