I finally got around to editing the video of the hooks I made almost 2 months ago. I made 100 of them, 50 a couple of weeks before. I have made batches of these about 5-6 times. Now that I have the tooling made they go really quickly. Sorry about the video quality I guess I need to light things better while I film. The tool on the hammer is a 2 stage tool, a taper tool then an edging area with the top of the taper acting as a stopper, then a cut off area. The cut off leaves a sharp edge and there is supposed to be a 1/8" flat on the end of the hook so I have to grind them a little. The last stage is the forming die, I originally had a tool that I used to bend these on the platen table but I had to do the counterbend first and then they often ended up with a twist so the chisel end was not lined up properly this was a pain to straighten. I use a set hammer on the final bending so that I don't bend the very end of the hook.

Eric was looking for a picture of the finished product. Here is a picture of the finished hook with a chisel/scraper that goes on the other end of a pipe that they both get welded onto. The other pictures are the tooling, the weld broke on hammer die shank on the last hook I have to weld it back on. If I were to remake it I would have the front face of the cut off vertical as the finished piece has a square end, it might cut the grinding down slightly. Actually I might throw it on the mill and modify it while the shank is off, if I have any small carbide end mills.
