Had some boys over from Wild Ones Youth Ranch, ( a Christian outfit) to forge some tomahawks from railroad spikes... Couldn't get any of the photos from the 'hawk build, but here are a couple that I forged. Also didn't think about it til a week before the build, that the boys needed tools that could hold a spike while forging... So, I made 6 pairs of tongs...

These are forged from pretty much mild steel spikes... Figured that they are just meant for throwing and don't have to be great for chopping, too much trouble to weld in some carbon steel.
