Hello all. I'm ready to upgrade my forge and am planning on adding a PID controller (or thermostat) to help me conserve fuel (hopefully). I was thinking something like what John Emmerling has in his shop. I didn't see anything relevant whenI tried searching the forum, so if there are plans out there, please redirect me. If not, is there anyone here who feels they have the know-how to help me do this?
Here's a schematic on what I'm thinking of:
The blue square is the PID controlled NC (Normally Closed) solenoid valve which will be wired in parallel with the blower so that gas gets shut off if the blower isn't on. I'm thinking that the green square NC solenoid is a bit redundant, and may not include this to save ~$100.
Thanks and happy new year.
as always
peace and love
