I'm about ready to have my 500gal propane tank filled, current price is $1.99/gal delivered. I can have any bottles here filled at the same time at the same rate. I thought I would offer filling since it's quite a bit better price than taking small bottles in. Anyone care tO take me up on it? You would have to drop the tanks off the day before and then pick up after they where filled, I'm not making any money in the deal so I would expect full cash payment when you pick them up. I haven't set a day yet for delivery but it will be in the next few weeks most likely

Whatever you are, be a good one.

I'd love to get that price again Larry, My last fill up here on the East coast was about a buck more than that per gallon and I think I'm doing pretty good for my area. A friend of mine just switched to my supplier because he was paying more than twice as much as my company was charging and the other guys wouldn't negotiate at all. I switched from that same company a couple of years ago when they raised the prices hugely and sombody else in the complex told me what they were paying to the company I'm using now. It's hard to complain about great service and the lowest price in the neighborhood so I'm happy to recommend the folks I use now. It's nice of you to offer others the chance to get your good price, thanks for throwing some good into the Karma pool in these nasty times (grin). Steve G

Its a good deal for here, most places is $2.49-$2.79... Part of why I get a good deal is the 500 gal tank, it would knock another dime a gallon off if you had a 1000 gal tank... But I think the 100 gal or less price from these guys, which are the cheapest in the area is $2.29... They are in Gig harbor but come fill my tank in Auburn for no additional charge..

Whatever you are, be a good one.

How is it you can fill smaller tanks from your 500? It's my understanding that filling a smaller bottle from the ''top'' of your tank only transfers gas, not liquid, unless you have a pump.........bm

I'm 200' from the marina. $2.79/gallon. Honestly, with gas hitting 4$ or more real soon, propane is GONNA go up as well.

They only remember you when you SCREW UP~!!!

My tank has a "wet line" liquid tap so i can draw liquid propane from the tank, Its gravity powered so my big tank sits higher than the filling bottle.. You can only fill a bottle about 75% this way (with a pump you can fill it 90%)

But thats not what I offering to do, If the tanks are in my yard they will fill them with the truck, after they fill my big thank... As long as I am taking fuel in the 500 gal tank the price stays the same for everything they fill...

I use airgas, they give me a set price of $60 for a 100 lb tank. Around $2.50 a gallon i suspect. Everywhere else its $3.50 a gallon. I guess it helps that i am a regular at airgas through my company so they give me great company rates. I used to use ten gallon tanks people use for travel trailers, and would fill them at the local rental yard, but it was too expensive.

Ironstein, I assume that your price through airgas does not include delivery. I have five 100 lb tanks that I have in rotation between my forges and oxy-propane torch setup. I used to do a fixed price tank-swap through Praxair similar to your deal with airgas. Now, I use a local company that delivers propane for heating systems pull up to the back of the shop and fill all my tanks at once. I can keep working and the tanks don't have to be completely empty for a tank swap or a fixed price fill.

Larry is getting $2.00 a gal delivered. I haven't seen those prices here for a good long time. And yes, I expect we'll see prices go much higher in the near future. Gouge away...
