I started smithing 40 years ago with a nice coal set up and had lots of fun. After kids showed up and I needed real work, it took a backseat. During a particular dry spell, I sold everything to make my land payment. 10 years ago I built my propane forge and started accumulating tools to get back in the game. I’m retired now, 2 years, and really enjoying building stuff again. To continue, thanks to shoulder problems and increasing arthritis, I am looking for a good power hammer. If anyone has a lead, please let me know.
thanks, in advance!

Don't know if you have arthritis in hips too, but a treadle hammer is a nice affordable step up. Easy to build out of crap on hand. After losing much use of my dominant hand I rely on treadle hammer for lots of things. I have one good shoulder that lets me do a LOT with my fly press. I have some parts for making a treadle hammer that I'll give yo if you'd like.. Eric
