Looks pretty amazing! Do you have any more info on this Gene? What were they welding? What were they using to weld it? Where was this done etc.

Funny but that looks like a picture from the WW1 Trenches, note the barbed-wire fencing and the doughboy helmet on the soldier.

:):):)The blacksmith who gave me the photo said that was Grant, forge welding a Ford to a Chevy.

Really it's a WW1 photo, from Life Magazine images site on Google. some really neat old photos there.

The solider in the foreground looks pretty relaxed about the whole deal. Maybe it was a training exercise or something (which might also explain why the photographer was above ground to take the picture. . . )
