Posted on behalf of Senior Park Planner Thomas Hartzell:
I am the project manager for the County in partnering with the Timber Framers Guild in building a “community built” timber-framed park shelter at Lake Roesiger Park (very similar to an Amish barn-raising).
The lake and the park are named after a German emigrant named Richard Roesiger. Mr. Roesiger was a blacksmith by trade. As such we would like to add some ironwork elements to the project as a subtle tribute to the namesake of the park. The shelter will include a fireplace and mantle. If you know of a blacksmith based in Snohomish County that would be interested in getting involved with the project please pass on my information and encourage them to contact me. Thank you.
