Hey all,

I am new here. My main interest is fabricating medieval reproduction armour.

A few years ago, a friend who lives a good bit south of here, introduced me to blacksmithing. It was good fun so I did it for a while using his equipment. When I moved out of the area, I no longer had the use of the equipment so I started collecting my own.

At this point, I have a Champion No. 401 forge with a Champion 400 blower mounted on it, a Harbor Freight anvil, a collection of hammers ranging from general ball/pein to armour specific.

Lately, I have been making tools so I could make other tools, etc... At this point, I have a set of tongs completed and they work great. Thanks to Red Troll Forge for instruction on how to do this. I also have another set of tongs in the works for holding round/square/etc stock.

I guess that is it for now. Thanks for allowing me onto the forums. I hope I can help as much or more than I need help.
