Hello, my name is Marcus Butler-Denman and i have recently moved to Portland OR from England were I have been training to be a smith. I have received a National Certificate, Award, and Diploma from Hereford National School of Blacksmithing and a Journeyman's Certificate from the Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths. I do not currently have anywhere to set up a forge and I really want to find some where to forge. I would love to find some long term work as a smith but I can also work on a short term basis as a journeyman. Even if i cant get a job I would be interested in either a workshop share, rental, or work trade arrangement. I am competent at hot forging, repousse, power hammer use, fire welding, pattern welding, gas cutting, plasma cutting, and fabrication as well as mig, arc, and gas welding. I would happily send a full resume and photos of some of my work if you are interested.
I really just want to get in to the community, i miss talking shop and hammering hot metal. I look foreword to meeting you all at the next conference.
