Moved in last summer and the first thing I noticed is that smiths are pretty thin around this part of the state. Not much else to say 'cepting looking forward finding some exposed iron ore and to seeing if steel heats the same here as it did in the midwest. Eventually I'll show up somewhere you're all gathered.

Good Morning,

There is the Okanogan area in Washington State and the Okanagan area in B.C. There is the Kootenay Blacksmith Association in eastern B.C. and there is the Northern Rockies Blacksmith Association that draws from eastern Washington, Idaho, Montana, etc.

I guess I should say, WELCOME to the NWBA!! The available talent and knowledge is HUGE. The funny thing is, nobody has their nose in the air. Everyone is available to offer a hint, lend a hand, drink your wobbly pop, share the stories, etc..... I forgot, sometimes they will also offer critique, whether you want it or not. At the end of the day everyone still communicates, That is GREAT!!;)

Neil

As long as we are above our shoes, We know where we are.

Look up Gary Eagle and his assistant Evan in Chesaw. Gary's blown alot of minds west of the cascades with his art-deco work and Evan is a damn good smith too.

They only remember you when you SCREW UP~!!!
