Hello . I am finishing up a new mini-smithy in my back yard in "inner-city Olympia." (small house-lot in the Northeast neighborhood). It is 8x16 ft. I have a propane forge that I got by being a welding club member from taking the Fire Arts class South Puget Sound Community College. The forge is from plans from the anvilfire webring, and has two burners made from 1 in. and 1/8th in. black pipe, with wirefeed welding tips as orifices. I can't seem to get it tuned with both burners on. One seems to "steal" gas from the other. Any tips? I could bring the whole rig to the January 24th event.

Tell us some more about your propane forge. like.... Is it naturally aspirated or does it have a blower.? What pressure do you run at ?Gas forges do not require rocket technology to operate. Most members on this site have run into different problems using gas forges, and solved the problem. Sometimes adding a simple needle valve can allow you to balance your fuel consumption across two burners.
