Joining the community | Introductions Come First, Right? | Forum

Hi all, Just found this site, and decided to join you if thats OK.

Primarily I joined to pass on my knowledge and experience, and learn from others more knowledgable.

I organise courses for Blacksmiths in the UK on behalf of the Blacksmiths Guild, formerly the Guild of Wrought Ironwork Craftsmen of Wessex which has been training 'smiths in the traditional skills and promoting blacksmithing for over forty five years, in 2004 the Wessex Guild (as it was widely known as) amalgamated with the Blacksmiths and Metalworkers Association of the South West, and adopted the new name, what we get up to can be viewed at http://www.blacksmithsguild.com

Our courses are open to everyone, and we hold open Forge in style events a couple of times a year, as well as supporting the UK's National Blacksmithing Competitions, see http://www.blacksmithscompetition.co.uk and other events across the country.
