Hi, my name is Tom Schultz and here's a little about me. I'm a computer science major at the University of Idaho (Moscow, ID) with a minor in business and math. I'm a reader, somewhat of a gamer, and a programmer. I love the outdoors, (almost) anything computers, casual athletics, and most importantly I love creating things. But enough of the boring stuff!

I've been interested in blacksmithing since I was very young, but I haven't had a good opportunity to get into it. In middle school my dad bought me a melting pot that I spent a lot of time playing with, but outside of that I've never been able to fit any classes or other experiences into my schedule. That, or I didn't have the resources for it. This semester, however, I've had the chance to take a welding class (oxy-acetylene and arc) and I have the money to attend the spring conference. I'm also hoping to go down and take one of Frank Turley's classes at the end of the summer.

Anyway, I'm hoping to learn all that I can from everyone here and I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you.

Tom Schultz

Welcome aboard!
I envy you going to the conference- take notes to remember what you can. I get overloaded very quickly with everything going on 🙂
Poke around the site here- LOTS of good stuff.

Oh I intend to absorb everything I can! This has been a dream of mine for so long that I'm not sure I'm capable of doing anything else... or even being distracted from it 😀
