It's pretty clean right now, except for the clutter. I would dearly love to get it dirty again sometime soon............1,700sf

I wanna know about the bridge crane... Did you build it? looks like its a under hung truck with the bridge set between the rails for hook height?
Whatever you are, be a good one.

No I didn't build it, I built one 12 yrs ago and I'm lucky I didn't kill myself. I found the bridge/ trolley unit used at a crane and hoist outfit. Used b/t, steel, and installed 6k total.I couldn't do it for that.
Overhung bridges give you more hook height but are more difficult to fit in/install. I've got 16' to the eaves, and a high hook of 11'6". Anyone out there thinking of doing this, if you don't have at least 14' to the eaves, It's probably a bad idea..............bm

I used to work for a crane outfit and have built lots of systems..... Ive seen some scary cranes... One of my favorites was a 20 ton system in a steel yard in Tacoma... it had wood runway beams and they would sag several inches as the bridge passed over with a heavy load.... And the more weight was on it the faster the guys made it go to keep it from getting stuck in a valley
I got a powered Gantry in my shop but sure would like to have a real crane... Just cant see the expense though for a building I dont own

I assume it wasn't a manual push pull, unless they had a passle of ''minimum wage workers'' to power it........
Wood runways? You'd think osha would be all over that! $200,000 fine, put em' right out of business,Oops there I go again.........b
