Heres a short video of a 550kg ram 'self contained' hammer we have just overahauled, You can see the near perfect single blow control the Massey hammers have, (almost like a hydraulic ram)

Its not mounted over an anvil (we just use an old die block to test em on) , so no proper 'bumping' but you get the idea of what a nice natured machine a well tuned air hammer can be,

Ill try and get some footage of one licking some hot steel soon!

The customer is a fairly large company (with a name that sounds like a one man band!), who manufacture & supply specialist fastners, I think their main customer is the mining industry.

That is indeed a lovely machine with lovely manners. Just when I get satisfied with my Little Giants I get reminded what little beasts they are.

Being even nosier than Ries I googled Glynn's Bolts and they are indeed a large manufacturer of fasteners and they seem to supply the mining industry. They were acquired by a consortium of indigenous businessmen in 2003, so Glynn must have bolted a while back.:p

That is a very impressive demonstration. I have read a bit about Massey hammers and seen a few videos... but that is a eye opener. So.... Id sure like to have one.... Can we arrange for an extended demo in my shop?

Lets see... is there a demand for "American" hammers that side of the water? I got a couple of Chambersburgs and a Nazel I can trade in......:)

Whatever you are, be a good one.

Jake James (Sook, BC) and I have DeMoor hammers. How do they compare to the Massey and what , in your estimation, are the differences?
