When I retire (ha like that will ever happen) I would love to build a small tabletop working power hammer. Make the patterns, have the castings made and machine things up and build the hammer.

No it's belt drive but that even is equally adorable 😀

Looks like a gear motor setup on there?

Castings are availabe for a couple of small steam hammers. The smaller
Rigby from Stuart of England would be only be big enough as a nut cracker. The larger black Phoenix hammer hits fairly hard.
Just finished an electric hammer but think it will be used mostly for veining or something like that. gary
