I like having a big press... I think I'll be coming up with things to do with it for a long long time..

So this is one thing I have been doing... This is a dedication sign for a school and will be set in a sidewalk that was a "gift" of the graduating class..

I had a template waterjet out of 1/4 plate and then stomped it into a chunk of 1"

Really wish that copper had worked out for ya, I still think dropping the 1 inch beneath woulda gotten it done, Hell I'd come back over to give ya a hand if ya want.

A guy in California was doing a similar thing. He had a sheet of urethane maybe 1" thick. Lay that in the press and cover with thin copper sheet. then he had a collection of pre-cut letters and numbers, he'd lay them on top to spell what ever he wanted, then press the letters into the sheet. Flip it over and it looked similar; raised lettering. Yours has a cool "gooshy" look though.

transform a yellow spot into the sun.” ~ Pablo Picasso ~
