So I was working on building a new forge and added too much water to my satanite, I had more and used it and managed to get it on... But it went on too thick for a first coat and wouldn't go any thinner. Now it is drying and cracking quite significantly. I've heard that I may be able to get away with wetting the satanite (if it is still wet, which it is) and applying more. The problem is I used the rest of my satanite fixing my first mistake.
Does anyone near Tacoma have a pound or two I can buy? I would come pick it up from you today ideally... I've ordered more, but it won't be here for another 3 days and I am concerned that will be too late and I'lll need to start over.
Any thoughts on that assumption? Should I just add more satanite when it gets here anyways?
Should I just wait for it to dry and cover the cracks with ITC100?
Thanks for your input.
