I'm sure everyone is coming to see what the joke is, but..........

I was at the shooting range last week and test drove these hearing protectors. I always hate the common ones because I can't hear anything. Don't like the foam plugs either. These are just awesome! I can adjust the volume so I can hear whispering at the other end of the shop, yet loud noises are canceled out! Unbelievable! Now I just have to investigate that whispering at the other end of the shop.

My wife got a set of those for me a few years back. They ROCK!! Only downside is having to change out the batteries.

No matter where you go... there you are.

OK, so you post about these cool and seemingly very effective sound cancelling headphones, but you don't post about where to get them? Sheesh :yellowcarded:

This sounds perfect when I am forging and my daughter is playing in the back yard and doesn't speak up to be heard.

Do you have an internet connection? Try Google or Bing. I got mine at Bullseye pistol range in Tacoma.

That's what I'm afraid of.

I have actually been thinking about getting a set of the custom fit earplugs. I normally wear earmuffs but I find them really hot in the summer. I don't like the foam earplugs that much and they don't stop nearly as much noise as the earmuffs.

I think my wife got mine at a gun show. They're plastic, not platinum.:yellowcarded:

I've used many types of foam earplugs in the construction industry over the years and for me, nothing works better than the classic yellow foam plugs. Those work really good for me and give me almost as much protection as my earmuffs.

Sometimes when I'm shooting I'll wear muffs with the plugs underneath.
That way I'm still protected when I take the muffs off or adjust them.

Sorry, Gene, I'm having trouble reading the last few words of your post. What is it your wife says?

I don't argue the effectiveness of any of those. What I don't like about them is that I can't hear anything!
