Got it thanks, i was actually able to convince the Kelso Tractor Supply to keep it in stock (working on doing the same for Chehalis) so if anyone is okay with using the tractor supply anthracite Kelo should always have it now. It doesn't show up as such on their website yet but they have bags there. $9.99 per 40lbs bag, nut sized

I just got 5 bags, its pretty dirty and a little wet, i don't much care about the smokey part as my shop is inside of a 2500sq/ft barn with a chimney directly above it. But it doesn't look like total garbage. I've seen lots of videos and reviews from people who say it works fine in their forge. I'll fire it up and give it a try sometime this week and see what its like. I don't have a lot of choice here, but i did get a lead that there is a place called olympia farrier supply that has coal, so maybe its better. I just cant spend the dollar or more per pound you have to spend on ordering coal on the internet and i live way out in the middle of no where 🙁
I'm not a coal expert but when you give a chunk a good wipe down it looks and feels exactly the same as some really expensive anthracite i got from the interwebz. So i dunno, maybe its fine maybe not either way 200lbs was cheaper than 50lbs from the internet and im only out $50

So i lit up my forge with the TSC coal and it honestly burns better than the centaur forge coal i was buying. I don't know if people get bad batches from TSC (quality control seems to be pretty low) or if my homemade forge is just better suited for it but it was easy to light, there was actually a lot less smoke than the centaur coal and it definitely got hot enough to weld. I made a heart hook and a screw driver (it wont let me post pics) both of which required forge welding and it was a lot easier to do with the TSC coal than my old centaur coal (it was also the second and third time i successfully forge welded something)
BTW, anyone following this post that lives around my area, the coal at Olympia Farrier Supply is $40 per 50lbs bag. Im happy with the TSC coal so i wont be going to olympia to try theirs so i dont know if its any good or not though.
