I bought this very old 94" Wellsaw from my sister's husband for $150.
I spent 4 days dismantling and cleaning.
Got with the folks at Wellsaw and bought a little over $200 of new parts- shock, blade guides, bearings and new pulleys.
Spent 3 more days polishing and reassembling.
This saw runs like the proverbial top.
After 4 more days trying to adjust the blade for horizontal and vertical square cuts, I finally admitted to myself that the saw kicked my ass, badly.
It would cut square on horizontal OR vertical, but not both. Two friends came and tried to help- just no dice, no matter what.
Someone with much better skills that I will need to build a new bow support to make it track properly.
I am done with it.
Much heavier, better built and larger than the little import saws.
Has very light surface rust from outside storage under a tarp for a few months.
$150.
