Good morning, I know its not forging related but this forum is full of smart people who build and make. I'm looking for supplier in the Tacoma, Olympia, Seattle area where I could purchase a digital vacuum gauge capable of indicating 0.0-30 InHg. I'm trouble shooting a sick turboshaft engine and I'm trying to find a local gauge so I can wrap this up next week. Have a great Fourth, Cam

Have you look at Grainger? Their catalog has a page of Digital Vac. Guages. Open M-F, closed Weekends. Will an analog guage work for your application?
Good Luck.

Thanks for the suggestion Wilson, we like the Granger gauges but the lead time to receive one would be about two weeks. I plugged an analog gauge in that I bought at Napa but my manager and the engineers at the plant are not going to agree to pay for an overhaul based on the readings taken with a $30 gauge. You know the deal, get it done fast, cheap, and quick. But it's an aviation engine so we have to get it right. We will probably have to mail order one in.

Is Grainger telling you 2-3 weeks? Most items are 2-3 days. If $ aren't the priority you might ask for EXPEDITED SHIPMENT.

My coworker called Grainger and said it would be 10 to 14 days to receive a gauge. I'm thinking I should call them myself.

McMaster-Carr might be a possibility.

You might try a mechanics supplier (snapon but there are surely shops as good or better) or a scientific supply house - i'm sure there's one in seattle but i cannot find it right now (my search skills turn into a pumpkin at his hour of the night)
