We used to use our's(similar machine) to make 'dome caps' half spheres to hide bolts and fixings. You can also use it for 'texturing square tube, quite usefull little machines.

I am using a bigger version of that as a nipper/shear with some simple tooling Grant developed.... Its been a real nice thing to have in the shop.. I would say if you could get it cheap enough it would be worth having around just to toy with...
