Saw these at a friends shop.......just split your chosen material as needed then you can take it from there......it helps to have a vertical band saw

Not to mention it looks better than the welded ones. For thin ones you could use flat bar, split it the easy way and bend them left and right.

I have about 6 pieces of 1X1/4 with a hole in one end. They are held together by a large binder ring. I just drop in the number needed. I don't have to look around and find the right spacer for the size stock.

I will definitely try that. Sounds like a good idea especially if a shop has multiple work stations with vises. One ring binder of spacers for each work station.

I might add one 1/8" and maybe even a 1/16" thick piece to that arrangement.
