I think it is made to fit a hardie hole... current wild guesses are a spring fuller of some sort or tin benders/curlers. The two round rods move freely through their respective holes in the 1" square bar. Belongs to a friend, it came in a box of tools they bought.

I do believe it is an OCP product. Not a tin benders tool.. . Don't remember what it was for. If it is a spring fuller it is assembled incorrectly. The short end of the fullered rod goes into the square. The smooth rod should be adjusted so the lengths match. Someone here will remember I hope. This is another one of those times I miss Grant.

Looks allot like a stop for a saw for doing multiple cuts of material to a pre set length. I's almost a dead ringer for the one I have on my little 10'' cold saw....

Good Morning,

That is a 1/2" Spring Fuller, 1st design, made by Grant or Off-Center Products.

I have one of the 1st and 2nd design. The 1st design didn't have enough Spring so Grant made the 2nd design with the top rod coming out one side, curling around over top the post and bending parallel with the bottom rod.

The way the above picture has the pieces assembled is incorrect. The short end of the top rod should be held into the post with a set screw, the flattened part is the spring.

There are always ways to improve things, sometimes Grant let the end user make suggestions.
