I am looking for some actual 2" EIPS IWRC or even slightly larger cable to play with. Not Galvanized obviously...

Just call up West coast wire rope or Pacific Industrial and tell them you need some short drops... They throw short chunks in the scrap tub all the time, or better yet show up wit ha box of doughnuts and them them your a blacksmith

Whatever you are, be a good one.

GO TO NW wire Rope or Pacific Industrial supply. Bring a nice little cable knife/letter opener and get to know someone. If they like you, they'll give you a friggin' truck load! Otherwise, you're just some idiot wasting their time. Best if you can talk to the shop foreman, forget the people in the office. Not alway, but usually.

I goto Doug at Northwest for my cable already, He just couldnt find any 2 inch, he even called up to a supplier in seattle to find some and no go. They let me dig through their scrap bin whenever I get a chance to go over there and I have a buncha 1 inch and larger. Heck I even Fell through their window not to long ago. Luckily all I got was a nice scar on my hip from it and not worse, my foot caught the top edge on the steps and forward I went into the window. But we all laughed about it next time I came in.
